Happy Easter

We were kind of into Easter this year. Next year, bring it!

Presents? In the morning....what a treat!

We got new balls...yay....

but really, we just wanted the chocolate.

Virginia kept saying, "I want chocolate! One more bite."

This was the first attempt at bunny pancakes. Channeling Mikey Mouse...and we are good!

Happy Daddy on Easter morning!

This was the last attempt.

And it turned out Daddy and John had matching outfits. Hilarious.

This dress may be too short but it sure is cute!!!

And this is how Virginia does the slide. Every time.

Happy Birthday......

I wish I could figure out how to rotate this! Ugh! Virginia made birthday cake for who knows who....John took it away. But politely tried to give her another cake pan. She was not having it. It is up for debate whether he is blowing out the birthday candles or not....but in the end...he returned it. Good boy!!!

A Tribute to Baby Casey....

We thank you Baby Casey for making our week with Virginia at the beach smooth and successful. She can be a bit needy at times but you fit the bill when Daddy went to the bathroom or took something to the car. Really at any time Daddy was not visible to her. It is to you my friend that we say "Cheers!"

For those of you that don't know...Baby Casey can be any variety of baby doll. All with the same name. But this "Baby Casey" made the trip to the beach. He, of course, sometimes had on clothes but always a diaper. Or if he didn't, he was in desperate need of a diaper.

Thank you, my friend. Thank you.

A Trip to the BEACH!

We had been talking about the beach for a while. I showed the kids pictures of it last year....but that had nothing on how excited they were!!!! We went to Myrtle Beach....thanks Granny B and Paps...we had a super time. And we feel more relaxed now knowing they like it...since we have 3 weeks at the beach this summer!

He was pumped up about his new suit!

He found out how to open and close these doors...what fun!

So excited!!!!!!

Are these toys???? Get them out!

I love this picture...it really looks like he is telling her something is out there!

HUGS!

John was feeling the beach music. For real. He was dancing all over!

At one point, this was actually a balloon animal dog. But she tore it to pieces.

John still had his intact at this point.

This really may be the cutest (and chunkiest) butt ever.

Tired eyes.....the beach will do that to you.

Look what I can do......

Not a bad view, huh?

John was very serious about his sand playing.Virginia just liked to drink the water. Gross.

But neither ate the sand. Bonus for this year!

This is what it looks like when she thinks Joe has gone away. That girl can scream "DADDY!!!" like nobody's business.

A hole! Joe was nervous that other kids had peed in this water. Lordy. I let them play.

See how fun it was!

Maybe my favorite picture of all time!

She was super into the birds. And followed them wherever. Virginia loved, loved, loved the water. It was a surprise for us. She is usually somewhat lazy and does not get into much...but she absolutely got very interested in going out. I think she would have gone all the way if we let her. Solo. John on the other hand, shocked us both. He was not feeling the water coming at him. The tables turned on this trip.

Whoa girl. She really is the most unsteady child ever. I do really think that left leg is getting the best of her.

Free ice cream!!!! Who doesn't love it?

Clearly John is feeling it.

It's a good thing John is not at all concerned about the sand on his body.

Aww....feeding her! So cute!

They really look like twins here.

And here.

It was a sad end to our week of perfect weather. Good thing we had blankets and Mickey Mouse. It was a rainy and cold day....this Momma was ridiculously sad.

We even went to the Outlets. Whoa...a mistake. There could not have been more people there. I think the 2 mile wait to get in should have been enough. It rained, poured, and caused a lot of tension in this house. Really only from me because I was not getting my last day of tanning in. AND BIG THANKS to Daddy for taking the kids up each day for a nap. I got several hours of alone time on the beach daily. Could not ask for a better husband...if he can ever give me anything...and I mean ANYTHING, this is it. Thanks honey!

What do we do on our way home when we refuse to nap? Play peekaboo!!! Both kids were pooped tonight and asked for bed. Good week!
