P.S.

John held his bottle tonight. During the entire feeding. Entire.

Well that was something...

Out at dinner tonight, a lady approached the table. Now let me preface this by saying at the table it was me, Beth, and two babies. It was completely obvious that the babies were twins. She handed us a flyer for a consignment sale and said specifically, "I know you two would love coming to this." We are fairly certain that she was assuming that we were together. As a couple. It was hysterical. We wondered about this for a bit after....and we decided we made a great couple.

John got tired....it was all of that good holding!

Cutest butt. Ever.

Big Heart....Small Hole

Many of you know that we went to the cardiologist today....what a visit! John was born with a small PDA...a tiny hole in his heart. He took medicine in the NICU to make it close up but it was not successful. We did an ultrasound before he was discharged and it was still there. They assured us that it was a very small hole and it was nothing to worry about. So we didn't. Then one day we got a postcard from an office that had an address and a message that said we needed to make an appointment for John. With no other information on it. It was quite funny when I called the office and let them know that we got a postcard to make a follow up appointment...and then I politely said...."Who are you again?" I had no idea. It turned out it was the cardiologist and we needed to come in for a followup appointment. No clue. So we went today and John was a TROOPER! The Dr. said she did not hear a murmur (and no other Dr. has yet)...whew. And in total John style...as soon as she put the stethoscope on him...he threw up sweet potatoes DIRECTLY on it. Shame. She had to go clean it.

But then we had an ultrasound....and John loved it. It was dark in the room and he loved the KY Jelly on him. Hilarious. And then she saw the hole. Still. So sad....but she was shocked. She really did not think it would be there. It was super small and she said it was nothing to worry about. We won't even go back until he is 2 and he will be rechecked. She promised me that it was the size of HALF of a pin head. She kept saying, "Do you see it?" And I kept saying, "Uh-huh...." But really I didn't. So it was there. And we are not to worry. So we are not going to! :)

And did I mention that we were there for 2 hours? Thank goodness Beth was with me and Virginia slept the whole time.

P.S. Welcome to the world Baby Zach! This is long overdue....but we can't wait to meet you!!!

The nurse was really cute. She put all of this on him and I wished her good luck. She actually asked me if I wanted to take a picture. So of course I did!!! And he kept all of this on.

Before we went in....he loved the fish tank!

And what better excuse for shoes than a doctor visit!

Oh My

So I am pretty sure I am cursing myself for saying this....but I am not sure we could ever have any more clothes. I got out the clothes for the 6-9 month range....good lord. I put the babies in it.

Can you spot the baby?

Or two babies?

John was obsessed with her this morning.

And now he is touching...

Finally...she looked at him.

And it just fueled his obsession more.

I mean, really?

Hanging out with Paps this morning!!

We decided to get ready for the beach today. After the full week, we are counting down the days until SPRING BREAK! The babies miss the beach!

I can't believe I forgot my camera. And then duh....I have a camera on my phone.

Babies, Babies, Babies

We have had a wild week so far....both babies have been on again and off again sick. But we went to the doctor today and finally got our RSV shots! Whew. Virginia's ears are better and she is on the mend. John needs to keep doing the nebulizer for a bit. Other than that....it was uneventful!

Beth...we put on our outfits today to let you know how excited we are that you are coming next week!!! Can't you tell????

Constant entertainment.

Look at that belly.

And thighs.

Daddy is back at it. And I think he tried really hard to not include poop this time......

P.S.

Both babies are feeling better! John has handled the nebulizer extremely well. Joe wants to video the faces, sounds, etc. I make to try to entertain him. No chance.

Happy Valentine's Day

So it never occurred to me that we would make valentines for the kids at daycare. Then after a day or so, it occurred to me that I probably needed to get valentines from Virginia AND some from John. So I got Virginia these valentines with butterfly tattoos.

Then I got John these football valentines....that turn into little flick footballs....with goals. Kicked up. Pun intended.

Then somehow I ended up with goody bags. Ridiculous. How did I become that mother? I really want to stand strong that kids do NOT need goody bags when they come to our children's birthday parties. I wonder how long it will take me to cave. One party? None?

Grandma and Granddaddy came down to play. Joe and I went out to a lovely dinner on Saturday night....and then there was nothing like a Sunday morning trip to Costco to share our love.

Oops....maybe an infant should not have a balloon.

All of the festivities wore us out.

I am a firm believer that Valentine's Day is a daddy's holiday! Right, Paps?
Joe did a great job...got both babies a toy and a card. Too sweet!

And then we celebrated the Daytona 500 in our camouflage. Yowza.
