Birthdays!

Yay! We love Paps!

And Granny B! We will miss them when they are on their trip!

We were off to Northern Virginia to celebrate Carter and Cooper's birthday...it was a Mickey theme and Virginia was thrilled. She enjoyed putting her tongue in these pictures.

I guess I need to give Daddy a shout out. These pictures look a lot better with the new "clippered" haircut....Thanks Daddy for pushing through on this.

If they ever form a band later.....

Matching shirts! And haircuts!!!

Valentine's Day....Oops!

This boy is obsessed with shoes.

I forgot to post pics of Valentine's Day! Man...I guess I was over obsessed with seeing Baby Becca!

Daddy is in charge of this holiday...and got the babies a new bowling sets and a lot of new balls for the looming spring weather! Thanks Daddy!

Typical.

When the babies went to Maryland...they loved Maya and her friend.

Baby Becca!

I have no pictures of my own kids this weekend....because I spent my time holding this one! What a sweetheart! I traveled to NYC to visit with the Busch family while Joe took the kids to Maryland to visit with his family. Oh the days of feeding babies, burping babies, trying to get babies to sleep...what memories!!! I really don't know how we did it. The sleep factor? Schedules? Man! But we survived...as do all new parents.

I got back today after a seven hour travel day for a 55 minute flight...yikes! But the babies (well...baby) were so happy to see me. John was thrilled and could not get enough hugs. Virginia was all set with her Daddy. Apparently, she has officially broken bad. She woke up today (on the day Joe had to get both ready for school by himself) at 5:45 screaming "Daddy! Daddy!" from her crib. So poor Joe had to get them ready a smidge early and coped by driving them around for 45 minutes watching Elmo in the car and then getting them to daycare at 7:30. You do the math. Naughty!! And hilarious. It should be quite a show at daycare too since a new baby has arrived and ours (until today....) were the youngest. She wanted to go outside today and had an obvious temper tantrum that they were not going out at that time. Joe said tonight..."She is her mother's daughter..." She has shown of late, that she wants to do things when she wants to do them. Lordy.

I was so thrilled to see them today that Skype will be a necessity when we go on our trip in June for a week without them. Clearly, Virginia will be fine but John....who knows. BIG thanks to Daddy for taking care of them all weekend...and extra today when my flight was delayed several times over!

Fun Facts Part 5

Fun Facts About Virginia:
*She is fully walking and sometimes running. Although she prefers to be in shoes all of the time. Even in pajamas.
*We think she likes shoes more because it accommodates for her short leg. The Dr. is watching this to see if she will always have it or if it is result of the butt scoot.
*She repeats everything you say. Even curse words. Daddy claims it is solely from Mommy's potty mouth and Mommy can't argue. Get it together!
*Virginia tries to always say "Please" when she wants more food. It is cute but often she appears like a dog.
*She loves her pacifier...but although we call it a "paci"....she swears it is called a "binkie"....
*She enjoys playing with her babies...burping them, feeding them, and rocking them.

Fun Facts About John:
*He is all over the place. He laughs at our child-proof locks on the cabinets. We had to purchase two separate sets before we found a keeper.
*He constantly gets out his winter boots to put on during the day.
*He still grunts but he can say any animal sound like nobody's business.
*John pushes Mommy out of the way and shoves her when he wants extra food. This is also similar to a dog.
*He has become quite the helper taking things to the trash and hamper but expects immediate praise.
*He loves to play dress up. Maybe more than his sister. Brushing hair is now a favorite hobby.
*He has established the difference between the high five and the pound.
*We gave John his 12th haircut....with clippers. Mommy cried during the entire debacle. No picture proof at this point.

*They both love to read Goodnight Gorilla. This is by far the favorite in our house at this point.
*They both still only have a little milk at each meal and water the rest of the day. I tried to promote juice twice and they turned their heads at me.
*On the upside, we are watching some T.V. But only if it includes Elmo or Mickey! Yay!

Videos

Not sure which one I like best! Sorry about the sound....you know how school speakers are!

They Rise to the Occasion Again!

We went to a sock hop at Joe's school tonight! And yes....this is a poodle skirt my mom made me in 6th grade! That lady dug deep and found the leftover fabric....and made Virginia one too!

They had a blast! When we got home, Virginia was saying..."Go back! Go back!"

Clearly John was worried where we were!

Random Pictures

We had a play date with our friends Sophie and Autumn!

They all loved Ryan!!

We got to Skype with Baby Rebecca!! She loved us! And a big welcome to another set of twins in my family....Roman and Oliver! We can't wait to meet you!!

In the past 24 hours, Virginia has developed a new love of dress up! YAY! We have a whole dress up bin waiting for her upstairs!

But John may still love this more than her....

I guess John is into the dress up too....if I'm being honest....

Welcome Baby Busch!

This is a flashback to the very first time that Beth had both babies! And today....she had her own baby! We are so proud of you and Joe had to convince me not to go to the airport tonight! We can't wait to play with her for the rest of our lives.

Welcome Rebecca Caperton Busch...born today on Groundhog Day! My kids at school will be thrilled that she was born today because I sort of left my phone on all day and we were on baby watch 2011!
