Fun Facts Part 3
A latest on the babies....
Fun Facts About Virginia:
*She is still somewhat refusing to crawl. She can scoot like no one else....and does not realize that scooting is way more effort than crawling.
*People often ask me how much younger she is than John. Hilarious. My answer is the same every time....15 seconds older.
*She has 12 teeth and is getting 4 more at the moment.
*She sleeps a lot every day. A morning cat nap, a 3 hour nap in the afternoon...and always sleeps at night. We can't think of one time where she has cried at nighttime.
*Her favorite foods are pancakes, waffles, and crackers. Yeah carbs!
*Sitting is her favorite thing to do.
*She can finally clap on demand!
*Talking is a hobby of hers. She currently says "Momma," Dadda," "Up," and "Hi."
*She thinks other kids are so interesting. But not her brother.
Fun Facts About John:
*He has had 4 haircuts already. And it still looks like he needs another.
*He is still going strong with 7 teeth.
*He will throw every thing out of his crib daily. We learned quickly that there was a lamp too close to his crib.
*His favorite foods are....well....anything I guess. He eats with both hands every time.
*Climbing around on beds and pillows is his favorite thing to do...especially naked.
*He has no regard for anyone's space or body and will climb right over you.
*He likes to make silly noises with his lips...and says "Momma," "Dadda," and "Uh-Oh."
*Apparently he crawls pigeon armed...according to my friend Ryan. Shame. Ryan and I both agree it is adorable!
*He touches Virginia's hemangioma all of the time when in the stroller. She "politely" pushes his hand away.
*Neither baby has any interest in tv. Even in the car.
*Both babies are back on the bath. John may have accidentally fallen out head first with legs up in the air while we were at the beach.
*They eat all table foods, use only a sippy cup, and are starting their 2% milk diet next week.

The Diet
Look at these sweet babies!!! The nurses always "sigh" when they see me coming in by myself....but the babies ALWAYS step up and do a great job! We had our year appointment yesterday. All is well! And the shot ladies love John....they always come see us. They did weights and measurements....got fully checked out. Then the Dr. invited us back to his office to have a chat. He looked over their weights....Dr.: So are they still on a bottle?
Me: No...we are on all sippy cups!
Dr.: Are they drinking formula now or milk?
Me: We are on all milk.
Dr.: Hmm....maybe you could switch from whole milk to 2%....whole milk has 4% and they seem to be doing ok.
Me: Really? I'm pretty sure we just got put on a diet.
Bless his heart....he was polite as he could be about it.
In the discussion about height...
Dr.: Alright....let's see how long they are!
Me: Now listen. I am 5 feet exactly and my husband is 6'3....which leads us to quite the predicament. It could be touch and go in the height department. You better measure them accurately. In all seriousness....if she is taller than he is...you better just lie to my face and write your own "measurements" down on your chart.
Dr.: Ok. And sweetie....have you seen your kids? You by far are going to be the smallest person in this family.
Luckily....he did not have to lie.
John:
25 pounds 12 ounces (92% percentile)
31 3/4 inches (80% percentile)
Virginia:
23 pounds 8 ounces (85% percentile)
30 3/4 inches (80% percentile)

The Last Beach Trip of the Season
What a trip! We went to Fenwick Island, Delaware for the week with Joe's family. Then Joe and I left early to head to Binghamton, New York for a wedding. Needless to say, we are pooped but I needed to get some pictures on here. Maybe I will have more if Granddaddy passes some of his on!! :)
Thank you Grandma and Granddaddy for a super week, as well as babysitting this weekend!
Kendall loved feeding the babies....and she was good at it!!!
