Visits with Friends

Our first visit this week was with the Jennison crew! And what do you do on a 66 degree day in winter but take the dog on a walk in the yard! On a side note, it appears we may be giving up our fear of dogs. Thank goodness.

Everybody needs ice cream in their pajamas!

Then we set off to visit the Light and Dinh crew in Northen Virginia! Collin is a sweetheart!

Mary and I feel so lucky that our kids love tv and treats. Shame.

Sweet baby Anabel made the visit! She is a doll!

Update on Night Naughty Behavior

So those wild ones continued their naughty behavior after another trip to see what they were doing. I finally got them back in bed. Again. But when I went up to bed myself around 10:00 p.m....I found this "warning".... We discovered the bows as a sign of what to come.

This is a partial shot of what we walked in to. Now normally this area of carpet is free of kid debris. But last night, we found bows, books, and shoes spread all around. At this point, we are trying so hard not to laugh. We are sure she is asleep and we were taking pictures. We look back at her and realize...uh oh. I look down and find her pajamas. What! But then I see it.....the mess that was gently tucked away by the door. Yes, a poopie diaper. On my floor. Gross.

So we find her with her hind parts UP in the air, giggling under her blanket. This is a cropped photo of the real deal. Figured we better not post all parts for the internet to see. I get her out of bed and she is laughing hysterically (me too but holding it together....kind of) claiming there is no way that she is putting those pajamas back on. Which I politely, I mean sternly said, "Honey, you just put a diaper with poop in it on my carpet. Yes, you will do whatever I ask you to do." And she did. And went straight to bed.

Notice poor John. All of the bed hopping antics really wore him out. You can see his hair out of his crib conveniently missing all of this action.

Baby Becca

Our dear friends, Beth and Matt, ventured this way on their way back to New York! We were thrilled. But the wait got to some of us. Poor Virginia could not handle the pressure of them getting here.

And then they pulled up! She picked out everyone's clothes for Baby Becca's arrival!

Pumped!

And our motherly instincts kicked in. Good news....she has a future in babysitting. Bad news...she may or may not have man-handled Becca.

This was John opening all of her birthday presents for her.

Sadly, I caved at Target today and got him one of his own. And yes, one for her too. Shame.

See...we can feed a baby! Poor Becca is wondering what is going on.

And John got a turn too! At least that girl got some food and he did not take it for his own.

And sadly, we FINALLY gave Becca our nighttime pacifiers. This shot is of the true and bless-his-heart recognition that it was actually gone.

No Mommy! Don't take my picture. I am sad right now.

And I suppose to survive the no pacifiers (which by the way they said nothing about the next day), I found them tonight in the same bed, awake, and John was yelling, "Ginia! Ginia!" to which she responded, "I am sleeping John!" I guess night playtime is inevitable in the same room.

Happy Half Birthday!

Two and a half years old...how! We tried to cover our eyes!

There we go....

John quickly left his new helicopter in time for a treat on his new tray table!

Virginia loved her new Barbie and accessory holder.

But opted for a treat as well! Happy fake birthday kids!

Happy New Year

We had a party for New Year's Eve! SO much fun. Especially after John figured out how to really use this horn.

It is not easy to get three kids in hats to pose.

We had our friends Brian and Owen in for the party!

From our family to yours....we hope you all have a very FUN new year! Welcome 2012!
