We had a WONDERFUL graduation weekend with Joe! We celebrated with two ceremonies and then some friends and family over for a cookout. We are so very proud of Joe and all of his hard work!

A Major Award
Joe was honored tonight for our Henrico County School Awards! He was picked as the first ever recipient of the Chris Corallo Distinguished Educator Award for our whole county....all staff were included to be nominated! He won this for his dedication to education based on a Central Office Staff member who passed away last year leaving a wonderful educational legacy! What an honor! He had to be nominated and chosen from all HCPS employees....over 6,000 employees!
Tae Kwon Do
After ending gymnastics, the kids decided they wanted to do "Karate"....so we enrolled them with a coupon (Thank you Valpak) for a four week Tae Kwon Do class! They love it! Downside....it costs more than our mortgage a month! So we are pulling a trial version with a possibility to go somewhere cheaper if they like it. But I feel like they will. And as a parent and teacher, these people come pick up our kids from school in a double decker Mercedes.....it never occurred to me looking at the coupon that it would be THAT expensive. But after we went, I was fooled! That joint was nicer than our home. Stupid parenting. And it is $169 a month minimum with a ONE YEAR COMMITMENT! What! Mom and Pop Karate here we come!
