It finally happened............

So here is how is plays out. On Tuesday afternoon, we realize we need to take Virginia to the Dr. Lordy. We all know how our visits there can be. The farthest we have made it...is through the hallway and at the exam room door. So on the phone with Joe, we decide he should probably meet me there. Let's not kid each other, the last time we were there...Virginia got so fired up she threw up on the scale. Not from illness. From stubbornness.

I get to the Dr. and Joe is not there yet...the nurse sees us in the waiting room and takes me back on the sneak. Forget waiting. She KNOWS these kids. I head back with both kids...through the door, down the hallway....and we get to the exam room area. So far, so good. I let them play out in the hallway. Katie (the nurse) is shocked at what she is seeing. Not one tear yet. Joe showed up and was so surprised that he did not hear us to be able to find us.

Poor Dr. Rowe had no idea we were there. But he came out of an exam room, saw us, and immediately decided to head around the office the other way not to set Virginia off. Big. Shame.

All of a sudden...the nurses and shot ladies and front office staff were coming around to see the show. This time....not the crying show. But good babies. They have really never seen this before. Katie even said at one point...."She is smiling at me...and oh...she has dimples. I have never seen her smile before." Wow.

And so...the visit went great! Well, at least until the strep test where in true Virginia fashion...she threw up all over the table, floor, and nurse. We left with a double ear infection for Virginia, possible strep even though the test was negative and two prescriptions for two kids. Thank goodness our Dr. believes in giving all of us prescriptions!

Their first time on the bench....they have laughed at this before this visit. And finally....snacks pushed through and worked this time.

The joy of food.

Our day off from school was great! It was a good sick day off...I cleaned and the babies helped. John is earning his keep.
